初めて聞いたときは、何て歌いにくい歌なのだろう・・・と、思った。でも Jessye Norman を聴いたら、断然、「すばらしい！」と思い、歌ってみたくなった。

歌っていると、汗が噴き出している。完璧なフランス語で、すばらしい発声、抑揚、感情表現。スコラのテノールも冴えわたり、マリア・カラスが喜んでいる。小澤征爾の指揮がまたチャーミングですばらしい。歌のあとで「I think we’ve got it!」と嬉しそうだ。
